Favorite Artists... and counting

Alphonse Mucha

His artwork comes right out of the Art Nouveau era. I love looking at all of the artwork of this time... especially the poster designs.

Harry Clarke

Harry Clarke is best known for his detailed and grotesque artwork that accompanies Edgar Allen Poe stories. I didn't put up one of those illustrations because they are kind of scary but boy, are they awesome.

Yellena James

I found some of her artwork when I was browsing the web. Her artwork is so imaginative... I just love getting lost in all of the details.

Yay for ART!

The Awkwardness Ensues...

Please visit this website: http://awkwardfamilyphotos.com/
Here are a few examples of what you'll find there:

Awkward Pose of the Week: The Lean

Warning: this fan favorite isn’t for the conservative family. This is a pose for the clan with sass, one that wants to convey, “Heads up!” “Coming at ya!" “In your face!” “Take a closer look!” And of course, “You rang?” Combine with two arm-fold-book-ends and you’ve got yourselves an album scorcher.

Saturday Night Special: The Bon Family Blowout

I think this one's pretty self explanatory.

The Lenscrafters

She never stood a chance.

...And there are many many more awkward family photos to be seen so check it out!

Sweet Michael

I finally finished a portrait of Michael that I've been working on and thought I'd put it up. I also put up one that I finally photographed though it had been finished a while ago.

Baby Benjamin

Little Benny was born today at 5:30 pm. He is so long and spindly and cutey.... I just love little youngins! I just had to make a shout-out to this little bundle of joy and welcome him into the world.

Most Recent Project

My sister-in-law, Angie Boswell (sweetest person in the world) hired me to do a few fun projects for her new baby's room and for her little girls' room. I was thrilled! Here are the finished products. P.S. The large letter painting in the little boys room was a remake of a painting in Pottery Barn. I can't take complete credit for it.

These three pictures are of the boy's room:

Polly Meets ScatMat

There are two kitties in our household and they both love to jump onto the couch in our living room leaving large amounts of long kitty hair. Kevin, my brother-in-law, does not approve of this... so he ordered a ScatMat (from Fingerhut). It is a clear mat with an electrical current running through it so that when those curious little kitties try to get a snuggle on the forbidden couch, they get a friendly little zap and therefore avoid the couch in the future. Well, we decided that we had to capture it on camera so we set up Michael's camera and left it recording all night and this was the outcome!
